ATTENTION ALL ABAOC MEMBERS

Nomination for ABAOC Directors is now Open! If you or any ABAOC members are interested in becoming an ABAOC Director, send us your nominations now!

 


QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Unless specifically waived by the board, all nominees must:

  1. Be a General Member of the Association in good standing during the prior consecutive six months;
  2. Have served for at least six months on a Committee duly established or appointed by the Board and;
  3. Satisfy other qualifications as may be required by the Board of Directors (prior to the delivery of the notice requesting nominations).

 

Any General Member may nominate oneself or other person as a Director candidate if they meet the above qualifications or request for a waiver.

 

NOMINATION PROCEDURES:

 

  1. Send official nomination to the Secretary of the Association via email to INFO@abaoc.org or fax to 877.433.1889
  2. Include the name, contact # and a brief bio of the nominee
  3. Nominations must be received by 07-30-2010.
  4. All nominees shall be reviewed and placed on the ballot if qualified. 

 

Elections will begin on 08-06-2010 with the ballot list and brief Bios of candidates posted on ABAOC Website. Election will end on 08-13-2010.

 

Election results will be announced and posted by 08-20-2010.

 
 
ABAOC Business Matchmaking Workshops Press Release Print E-mail

Now is the time to win a lucrative large corporation or government contract!

Learn how to develop a roadmap for doing business with large corporations and government agencies. We guarantee you the opportunity to meeting with sourcing agents and government procurement officers!

SANTA ANA, California-The Asian Business Association Orange County will host business matchmaking preparation workshops that are designed to assist all small business owners & entrepreneurs who want to get contracts with large corporations and government agencies. Now is the time to learn, understand, and discover the ins and outs of contracting!

The workshops will be held at the Fullerton Marriott in Fullerton, California, on Saturday, July 31st, Monday, August 16 and Saturday, September 18 from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Graduates of the workshops will be eligible to attend a Practice “Business Matchmaking” Conference, where they will have an opportunity to sharpen their sales pitch and get feedback from sourcing agents.

Finally, graduates will have an opportunity to meet with several buyers from large corporations and government procurement officers, to jump-start their contracting process, at the PROCON and Business Matchmaking Conference in October 2010.

Robin Billups, Supplier Diversity Manager, Vice President for US Bank and major sponsor for the “PROCON and Business Matchmaking Workshops and Conference” said, “This is a great opportunity for Small Businesses to meet with sourcing agents to find out more about their companies, contracting opportunities, and how to work with them. I am hoping that these workshops will impart key learning’s for both suppliers and sourcing agents. By bringing the two groups together we hope to determine supplier contracting needs and find a business match with the sourcing agents.”
